New EU data protection guidelines
The GDPR, the new General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union, will come into force on 25 May 2018 and will establish a legal framework for processing and storing personal data. The GDPR also affects Swiss companies that provide services in the EU, even if they are based outside of the EU. As an international company, we process a multitude of data to fulfil our responsibilities and obligations towards our customers, contractual partners and service providers. In doing so, we also process data, that is to be protected against unauthorized third-party access. Security in information processing thus plays a key role in allowing us to fulfil our responsibilities.
The Schneider management team takes its responsibility for information security seriously in the interest of the company, its customers, employees and business partners. When planning and implementing our business processes, we shall ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data. Schneider + Cie AG contractual partners will be obliged to comply with information security measures and the applicable security requirements.
